NORTHPORT, NY, June 15, 2015Code Dx, Inc., a provider of a robust suite of fast and affordable tools that help software developers and security analysts find, prioritize and visualize software vulnerabilities, today announced that Michael Malin, an information security industry expert, has been appointed to its board of advisors. With his wealth of business and cybersecurity experience, he brings a unique combination of knowledge and expertise that will broaden the perspective of the Code Dx board of advisors.

Mr. Malin adds another dimension to the Code Dx board of advisors that already includes the recent appointments of Rick Orloff, VP and CISO of eBay Marketplace, and Jerry Boudreau, a director and founding member of the U.S. National Cyber Security Council.

“Mr. Malin’s background building companies from the ground up is a perfect fit for our expanding board of advisors,” said Anita D’Amico, Ph.D., CEO of Code Dx. “His in-depth understanding of both our industry as well as how to take a company from a startup to a multi-million dollar industry leader will prove invaluable in advising our company in our next stage of growth.”

“The importance of computer security has never been more prevalent,” said Mr. Malin. “With more prolific, high profile and persistent attacks, there is no panacea for thwarting compromises. Security must be implemented in all layers. Code Dx is the specialist in code-level security allowing open-source and commercial code assessment tool results to be easily correlated, prioritized and reported. I look forward to joining the already talented Code Dx team and sharing my computer security business experience with them to help grow the company and enhance their industry solutions.”

Mr. Malin honed his expertise in the cybersecurity industry as a co-founder and CFO for Mandiant Corporation, a computer security services and software company. He built the company to position it for its successful acquisition by FireEye and was pivotal in strengthening its bottom line, diversifying its offerings and generating year-over-year revenue growth and profitability.

Prior to co-founding Mandiant, Mr. Malin was the VP of International Business for Foundstone Inc., where he was instrumental in driving business growth and expansion initiatives for this computer industry company. He also served as a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he gained a solid foundation and training in key operational areas, including business continuity, information systems, audit & control, finance, and mergers & acquisitions.
