How do you get developers to adopt software security and quality tools? You need to put yourself in the developer’s shoes. Developers already have a bunch of tools they use every day and adding another isn’t going to make them happy, especially if it’s not helping them achieve their main goal of getting features complete and a revenue generating product out the door.

The key to getting developers to adopt security and quality tools is to integrate them within their existing tool chain – specifically their IDEs where they are developing the code, their continuous integration build servers, and their version control systems.

Over the next few blog entries we’ll talk about some of the new features in Code Dx 1.6 that includes Visual Studio and Eclipse IDE plugins, Jenkins plugin, and Git integration.
